Class Update
- New GYROKINESISŪmat class
Monday at 10:00am (classes start on March 3) 55 minute classes
GyrokinesisŪ is a yoga-based movement technique developed by
Juliu Horvath, the creator of the Gyrotonic Expansion SystemŪ.
It blends elements of yoga, tai chi, gymnastics and dance. GyrokinesisŪ
like Pilates, is a form of exercise that is specifically designed
to enhance your flexibility, strengthen and lengthen muscles
while encouraging proper postural alignment. People who practice
GyrokinesisŪ report feeling invigorated, more open and lean.
Additionally, the circular nature of many of the GyrokinesisŪ
movements provide a unique way to increase mobility of the spine,
shoulder and hip joints. Incredibly beneficial for the general
conditioning of all types of people, including pregnant women
and those with back injuries, this dynamic class works the body
in gentle circular movements, building your stamina and dramatically
increasing your flexibility. This class is suitable for all
ages and levels.
All GYROKINESISŪ classes, from beginner to advanced, encompass
not only sitting but also laying and standing positions. Fluidity
is the key Fee: $15 per single session, punch card with discount
